Finca Procel
2005 – The nascent company began to cultivate the first hectares of pitahaya, by 2025 it would have more than 55 hectares with an annual production of 1.250.000 kg with 70% destined for export.
By 2007 it began to be marketed locally, began to be marketed locally and by 2014, exports to Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore, and by 2017 shipments to the USA, which increased exports by 40%.
Innovation and development have been fundamental pillars in the company, by 2018 the «Pitahaya Wine» project was launched, by 2022 more than 100,000 bottles have been sold nationwide.
I+D developed freeze-dried and dehydrated pitahaya, which was well accepted; by 2022 it will still be produced in small quantities.
The project is pending to take off for export.
More than 5 million kg shipped, presence on 3 continents, 21 years of work.
